This review is ment to be neither positive or negative, simply informative to people considering applying to become a resident here.
Within the last couple years this complex has switched owners and therefore have a new policy on rent payment. I am a previous tenant of this complex so I am speaking on this policy from personal experience and unfortunately I do not believe this policy is "low income " friendly despite the complex itself being advertised and income restricted as a low income complex.
The rent payment policy does not allow Cash, check, or money order payments. You can only pay your rent through the app. In addition to this the rental payment app does not allow for any partial payments, meaning if you are unable to pay your rent for any reason you will not be able to catch up on what you owe unless you can pay the entire amount owed (Any previous + current rent owed) at once.
I personally feel that if you run a complex specific to low income families you are acknowledging that these families may face breif periods of unemployment due to health issues, family issues, transportation issues, etc.
Not allowing a family to make payments if they fall behind a month feels like a punishment for not being financially well off, not the quite the reputation such housing should be striving for.
Just wanted future tenets to be aware of this policy before entering into a legally binding lease with this management company.
